Ravi Angadi, Founder and CEO
As CEO of BizLogix, Ravi is responsible for the strategy, planning, and growth of the company. He brings a decade-long track record of developing strategy, building products, and implementing solutions in the areas of Applications Management, Enterprise Systems Management, and Business Service Management.
Prior to BizLogix, he held a senior management position at Managed Objects, where he was responsible for the delivery of its entire line of BSM products. In 1997, he helped define NAPIER, an early pioneer in the BSM arena and the flagship product for Invenio Techologies, a company later acquired by CellExchange.
As chief systems architect for Amazon.com, Ravi was responsible for enabling a platform for BSM by leading one of the best availability management implementations in the industry, thereby allowing IT to more directly benefit the lines of business. Prior to Amazon.com, as an enterprise architect, he led infrastructure management efforts for several dozen companies including AT&T, Northwest Airlines & and Borders Books. He was recognized by BMC as one of their best architects in the industry and in 1999, was presented the 'Special Forces Award' for exceptional services rendered. Early in his career, Ravi was awarded Motorola's coveted Codexcellence award for his work on digital leased lines and related network management.
Ravi holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Electrical &
Computer Engineering from The University of West Indies and a
Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Boston
University.
Jim Baker, Founder, Chief Scientist and CTO
Jim, as CTO, plays a critical role in helping to build innovative solutions for our most challenging BSM customers. As Chief Scientist, he is also responsible for developing new methods and technologies for characterizing, measuring and representing Business Services. Over a dozen years of experience integrating products from various ESM, SLM, BPM, and Business Intelligence vendors makes him perfectly suited to help BizLogix lead the industry thrust towards Business Service Management.
As Chief Scientist, CTO and co-founder of Empact Solutions, he helped create EyeQ, an SLA Compliance product that benchmarked and audited service level agreements between large companies and their outsourced vendors. His pioneering work helped raise $10M in venture capital funding. As Senior Architect at Invenio Technologies, he led over a dozen large infrastructure management projects for companies such as Lucent, McKinsey, Price Waterhouse, and Teradyne. Prior to this, as a software engineer at Kenan Systems, he developed multidimensional databases for use as multi-user OLAP servers.
Jim's research interests include data warehousing, statistical analysis (especially Bayesian analysis), automated and effective presentation of information (especially through graph drawing).
Jim has degrees from Harvard (A.B., Computer Science) and Brown
(Sc.M., Computer Science) as well as qualifying for the Ph.D. at
Brown in Computer Science.
Anir Chowdhury, Founder and Vice President, Solutions
Anir brings over twelve years of IT industry experience primarily focused on Enterprise Systems Management, Service Level Management, and BSM products and services. As VP of Solutions, he oversees the needs of our BSM customers by managing all aspects of the solutions delivery.
In 1993, at Open Environment Corporation, he co-authored one of industry's first application management products called AppMinder, later acquired by Borland Software Corporation. As an Enterprise Architect for Invenio Technologies, he leveraged his deep expertise in middleware technologies and enterprise applications to lead many complex and large-scale ESM solutions for clients such as Lucent, IBM Global Services, Kodak & Prudential Investments. He helped BMC Software bolster their professional services organization by authoring and teaching advanced ESM implementation courses to its consultants.
In the late nineties, Anir was involved in the product definition and architecture of NAPIER, Invenio's pioneering BSM product. Later he led the offshore outsourcing initiatives for EyeQ, the flagship Service Level Management audit product for Empact Solutions.
He co-founded and served as the CEO of eVastra Corporation, a B2B online marketplace for the global apparel industry. He sits on the board of several technology startups in the enterprise and Internet applications space.
Anir serves his passion for bridging the technology divide through policy studies for the Bangladesh government and not-for-profit initiatives building open source technologies, high-school educational content and internet content for underprivileged communities. He graduated from Brown University magna cum laude with Honors in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.
